There are large wooden desks, high-backed and winged chairs with red cushions on the seats, dark wooden floors with several thick rugs, and wood panels on the walls. If we allow ourselves to imagine further, we might see one of these panels slide open by a secret mechanism (or not so secret-they are almost always opened by a book on the shelf).

Keep the floors bare if permissible. The wood panels on the walls can be left as it is, or you can use wallpaper with simple and elegant patterns.
